Paws and shoes
Wood Panel, Canvas, Oil Painting｜2022
My work is depiction of my experiences and it represents my reaction to the current state of our society, preeminently the relationship between humans and digital media. We live in a time where we cannot deny the influence of technology on the development of science, art and primarily on humans. What fascinates me most is that development of digital technologies and internet culture created the human desire to leave the physical body and in that way achieve complete and unconditional freedom. With the possibilities that digital communication gives us we are now constantly connected to each other and are able to create memories of events that we have not actually experienced, which later on mix with our actual experiences. Recently I have been exploring this way of memory making through digital communication by collaging photos that come from my communication with my family and loved ones which results in merging our experiences into a collective one.
