コレクティブ Mitsukaido

The work is the result of a series of participatory workshops conducted with members of the Latin American community in Joso throughout 2022-2023. The images were first generated from analog film, later developed in Caffenol with Latin American coffee and printed in large format. These images were used as part of their (re)construction of the landscape, a collective restoration. The work tells a story and shares a point of view directly from the community, their stories, and the images.

コレクティブ Mitsukaido is formed by Latin American migrants living or working in the city of Joso in Ibaraki prefecture. As a result of collaborative workshops and photowalks using analog cameras, participants in these activities create mends of their images, resulting in big collaborative photomontages of the city and their experiences.
