Autumn voices

Autumn in Finland is very crisp, cool and melancholic. Whether you stand on top of a rock facing the shores of Helsinki and the sun is still warming your cheeks, or dive deep into the surrounding forests where all the sounds are dampened by mist and moss, everything is filled with a faint melancholy and half-sad half-exciting anticipation of coming winter. Finnish nature is always echoing with stories – be it eventful legends from the ancient past or just a short verse about birds chirping so happily this morning – and it’s up to the visitor to be willing to hear them.
